Palms Casino Resort was investing over $50 million in property-wide renovations. To complement the changes to the physical space, Palms wanted to give their brand a facelift – starting with their website. So while architects were handling the physical renovation, we were working on the digital one.
Palms.com won a Pixel Award, the Web Marketing Association Best Design Website 2013, The International Hotel Awards Best Hotel Website USA 2013, and Best Hotel Website Americas 2013.
With more and more people living on their tablets and phones, we designed the new Palms.com using a combination of responsive and adaptive design. This was kind of the hot thing to do since you didn’t have to design a different experience for each device.
From rooms to restaurants to nightclubs to pools, each of the site’s 60+ pages were modular, allowing pages and sections to feel unique, while making it easy to update content. Each page featured a variety of modules including a social component, picture/video galleries, related carousels, and a variety of other modules that could be added depending on the page.
We redesigned the event calendar so it was easy to explore all the events happening at any given time. Depending on how an event was tagged, it would not only appear in the event calendar, but on the specific venue page where it was happening.
